球队近况：新特兰今个赛季虽然以英冠首名的身份再次杀回英超，但球队现时的表现却是三支升班马最差的一支。联赛19轮过后只得1胜4平14负积7分排在榜末，极有机会再创02-03赛季以19分的英超历史最低积分降级的纪录。新特兰在麦卡锡的打造下成为一支作风凶狠、粗旷的典型北欧式球队，但来到英超明显仍欠立足的实力。魔鬼赛程的首场比赛中在主场0-0逼平保顿之后终于能够将9连败的势头止住，这对于球队来说无疑是圣诞的最好礼物，周中本身要作客布力般流浪但因为积雪的关系比赛延期让球员得到充分的休息。伤停方面，史提芬胡礼、基斯布朗、史提芬艾利洛今轮都因伤停赛。<BR>     爱华顿今个赛季虽然得到了参加冠军杯的资格，但冠军杯并没有为球队带来好运，外围赛的出局，足协杯上有负于名不见经传的罗马尼亚球队布格勒斯特戴拿模，联赛中的六连败，无论对球员、教练、还是球会高层到造成了心理上的严重打击。经历了如此大的挫败后球队足足用了一个月才逐渐走出失败的阴影，而莫耶斯亦不断为球员在比赛中找回自信，进入11月后近5轮比赛球队就取得4场胜利，本以为球队能够触底反弹，但近段时间球队继续遭遇挫折连续三场输波并且失掉11球使球队又再次跌入谷底之中。伤停方面，阿迪达与菲腊尼维利停赛，西蒙戴维斯、卡莱特立因伤上阵成疑
